Product Development - PFTW Tee

Damn, I just made the best t-shirt you'll own.
-
-
Anyone can buy a plain t-shirt, print a logo on it and then try to sell it on instagram.
I didn't do that.

-
-The origin of this piece begins October 2018 on the way home from my 9-5 job. Whilst sat on an overcrowded train listening to ASAP Ferg's 'Work', the lyrics 'Don't pray for me, pray for the weak!' Stood out to me against everything else. I can't truly articulate why, however the phrase is a powerful one, one in which each person who reads it has a different interpretation as to what it means; kinda' like art.
-
Following from the first collection, I wanted to instantly improve things, do something different, something most people won't and something the customer will truly appreciate and notice as a unique selling point.
I chose to manufacture right here in UK.
"What's the difference?" is often a regular question I receive.
In choosing to manufacture here, the quality is improved, the working standards are better, supporting local business, ethical working standards, reduced carbon impact, the list is endless.

Next came development.
I aimed to create the perfect t-shirt. Quite the task as every man and dog claim to have already done this.
By deconstructing the idea of a t-shirt, thinking about each component and looking at common frustrations, whether it be too wide in the body, too tight on the arms, too tight around the neck or even the irritation caused by a coarse neck label was always at the forefront of my mind.
-
To ensure the fit was 100% as required, I took the option to personally create all templates for both the t-shirts and the hoodies of the collection. A tedious task, taking 20+ hours to produce everything on my own, especially when two versions were needed as updates were required post sample creation, but the result was the best fitting garments you'll ever wear.

Crafted then from American sourced 100% heavyweight pre-shrunk supima cotton, this material is regarded as the highest quality cotton in the world. Doesn't shrink. Doesn't warp. Doesn't fade. Damn, even yo' favourite high end brands don't use this because it costs too much and it's too hard to find.
-
So after creating the best fit, using the highest quality materials and all handmade and printed in the UK, I present the you, a t-shirt that is simply more than a t-shirt; it's a piece of art. Displaying hard work, research, attention to detail and doing what other's wouldn't even contemplate.
